Palforge is a hobby project about breeding cartoon creatures. It has no business having political opinions, and this page isn't one. It's something simpler.
Some of the people who use this site — and play this game, and raid your dungeons, and heal you without being asked — are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer. So are some of the people who made the games you love. Behind each letter of that acronym there's just a person: someone's kid, the friend who always hosts game night, the coworker who covers your shift without making it a thing. They want what everyone wants — to be safe, to be loved, and to belong somewhere.
In parts of the US right now, a lot of those people are having a hard, frightening year. You don't have to understand everything about someone's life to be kind to them. Mostly it looks like small things: using the name they ask you to use, not laughing at the joke, letting them be boring and ordinary like the rest of us.
It matters more than it seems. The Trevor Project's research has found that LGBTQ+ young people with at least one accepting adult in their life were about 40% less likely to attempt suicide in the past year. One person, being decent. That's the whole intervention.
